This is a detached house in an elevated position in Swanage with wonderful views overlooking Swanage Bay, Old Harry Rocks and the Isle of Wight. The garden in the front and to the side of the house is laid to lawn and at the back of the house is a Purbeck stone patio bordered by flower beds. Here there is a table with an umbrella and matching chairs and there is a BBQ. The patio is sheltered and in warm weather is a sun trap. Swanage has a lovely, child friendly sandy beach and Studland is easily accessible. There is lots for children to do including crabbing, boat trips and searching for fossils on the Jurassic Coast. Corfe Castle is nearby and the heritage steam train goes there and back regularly from Swanage town centre. We spent a week here with our grown up children plus one grandchild. The house was perfect for us even if the weather could have been a little kinder. Before commenting on the property may I say that Swanage is a great place for a family holiday and I would thoroughly recommend it. On the plus side, this property has a spacious lounge with lovely views and good Wi-Fi. However, be prepared for some serious issues. About the neighbourhood
Swanage is situated on the 95 mile long Jurassic Coast, a designated World Heritage Site. It has a lovely, child-friendly sandy beach with all the amenities including locally made ice cream and a Punch and Judy show. There is a week long regatta and there are jazz and beer festivals locally during the summer. There are local riding stables, beach riding available except for during the summer season. Also several golf courses within easy access. There are municipal tennis courts and pitch and putt in the town. From Swanage there are boat trips, both for sightseeing and mackerel fishing.

Ferry: Poole: 30.0 km
Swanage is easily accessible via the chain ferry from Sandbanks to Studland. The journey only takes 10 minutes and there are three ferries every hour from 6.30am to 11pm. On the ferry it is possible to leave your car and go up on the deck to see the views.
