The apartment has had a complete makeover in 2017 with a brand new bathroom and kitchen. It has been re-carpeted throughout and has new furniture and beds etc.

The apartment building is located in the Wellswood area of Torquay and is a 5 minute walk from shops, restaurants, a pub and key bus routes. The building was the birthplace and childhood home of the comedian Peter Cook.

The apartment has two generous sized bedrooms. The master bedroom has a bed which can be zipped apart to form a twin. The second bedroom has a king.
The apartment benefits from a delightful bathroom with an oversized shower and high quality fittings.

The kitchen has just about everything you could possibly need with hob, oven, large fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and lots of crockery, glassware and cooking equipment.

Loved Wellswood and it's Italianate villas and boutique shops, all just a short walk away. Apartment had all creature comforts and everything was high quality and brand new. Beds extremely comfortable and loved the reclining seats on the corner suite. Very welcome after a days...More

About the neighbourhood
Torquay is a superb all year round destination with a large number of attractions that also stay open throughout the year.

The apartment building is in the Wellswood area of Torquay. This is a sought after leafy residential area just a five minute drive from Torquay town centre and harbour. At its heart is an area known as Wellswood village. This area is just a three or four minute stroll from the apartment and includes a pub, delicatessen, two restaurants, cafes, patisserie, pharmacist, hair and beauty salons, post office, a convenience store and so much more besides.

One of the key tourist attractions of the area - Kent's Cavern, is just a six or seven minute walk away and there are a variety of beaches and coves close at hand too.
Getting around
High frequency bus services run throughout the bay area and also connect with nearby towns and cities such as Dartmouth,Totnes, Teignmouth, Dawlish, Plymouth and Exeter.

From April to the end of October, foot passenger ferries run across the bay and beyond connecting Torquay with Brixham and Dartmouth.

There is also a steam train service that operates all year between Paignton and Dartmouth.

There are also coach services which provide a cheaper alternative to rail travel although travel times are likely to be considerably longer.
