Overview
Holiday Rental House -
6 Bedrooms , 3 Bathrooms , Sleeps 12
Tintagel, Cornwall, England
Trevillett Mill offers self catering holiday accommodation exclusively set in the beautiful Rocky Valley and a short walk to the sea. Nestling between Tintagel and Boscastle on the north Cornwall coast, Port Isaac, Padstow and many other renown holiday destinations are just a short drive away.

Full of character, the Mill is a unique and fantastic place to be away from it all, but at the same time be at the heart of a land full of mystery, myth and legend, and of course, dramatic Cornish coastline.

This 15th-century Grade II listed former watermill is set within its own 6 acres of land, exclsuively in Rocky Valley. The Mill house itself was built in 1472 and was made famous by Thomas Creswick, whose painting `The Valley Mill' hung in the Royal Academy exhibition of 1851. It is less than five minutes' walk to the sea and a furth...

A group of us goes away every year and this by far has been the best experience. The welcome was amazing, scones, cream and tea. The kids particularly enjoyed the play room and outside space trying to catch fish in the stream. The football table...More

About the neighbourhood
Rocky valley is a place of outstanding natural beauty nestling between Tintagel and Boscastle on the north Cornwall coast. A public footpath follows the Trevillett River as it meanders down the valley to the sea, passing through beautiful and dramatic scenery on its way.

Starting as mature woodland, the landscape changes quickly to moorland before it gives way to the angular and spectacular slate that gives the valley its name.
Getting around
There are many beautiful walks straight from the Mill and both Tintagel and Boscastle are walkable along the coast path.

Otherwise, the easiest way to get around is by car, but please be aware that many of the local roads are narrow.

There is a bus service that runs from Wadebridge to Bude via Tintagel and Boscastle. The bus will stop at the top of the driveway if going to Boscastle and in the layby opposite if going towards Tintagel. You need to put your hand out to get the bus (Western Greyhound) to stop.

To get to Boscastle, the bus gets to Rocky Valley at 45 minutes past the hour and 5 minutes past the hour headed towards Tintagel (Mon to Sat). The Visitor Centre in Tintagel can provide up-to-date timetables.

How to get there
Airport: Exeter: 112.0 km
Railway: Bodmin Parkway: 30.0 km
For the vast majority of people who drive from the east and north, the M5 at Exeter tends to be the gateway to the southwest and so directions start from here.

From the M5 as it runs out just past Exeter, veer left signposted Okehampton and Bodmin A30.

Keep following the A30 past Okehampton heading for Bodmin. At the Kennards House junction (about a mile past Launceston), turn off onto the A395, signposted Camelford, Wadebridge, North Cornwall. You start heading north and towards the coast. It is approx. 17 miles to Rocky Valley from here.

Follow the A395 for 8 miles until you get to the village of Hallworthy. Just after the hotel, turn right onto the B3762, signposted Bude.

Follow this road for approx. 2 miles until you meet the A39 (the Atlantic Highway).

Turn left, signposted C...
