Sea View Cottage, once an artist's studio, is a spacious and sunny retreat in St Ives. Sea View Cottage is located in the grounds of the gorgeous Loraine Estate, just 10 minutes walk from Porthminster Beach, St Ives.

Stroll along the coast path past the old 'Huer's Hut' where people used to keep watch for pilchard shoals in days gone by, down to the beach and the cobbled streets of this beautiful, iconic harbour town. This peaceful retreat is very spacious and light with an open plan living room, dining room and kitchen. Previously an artist's studio there are beautiful sea views from the bedroom upstairs.

Sea View is baby friendly with plenty of room for a cot upstairs. The bedroom is very large. There is also a single futon which can be used for a child.

There is a private garden, perfect for sunny evening BBQs...

We used Sea View for our winter stay in St Ives. It is a 10/15 minutes into the town with lots of other walks all around. Sea View sits next door to the owners house, who was extremely helpful. It was warm and big enough...More

About the neighbourhood
St Ives is a beautiful harbour with winding cobbled streets, its own sandy coves looking out over St Ives Bay, Lelant saltings and the Hayle estuary on one side and straight out to the Atlantic on the other. For many years, the incredible light, sunsets and scenery has attracted artists such as Alfred Wallace, Barbara Hepworth and Bernard Leach.

There is still a buzzing arts scene as well as a great selection of places to eat and drink. A fun place to wander round the shops. Also, an ideal spot for a bucket and spade and ice cream holiday with some brilliant beaches for swimming and building sandcastles. If you prefer to get in the sea, there's some good windsurfing, surfing and kite surfing beaches nearby and great places to explore on a kayak.
