MV Ocean Warden is a refurbished 134ft dive support vessel.She has been berthed in Penzance Harbour for 15 years and has been our home for 14 of those years. There are stunning views over the harbour, Mounts Bay, Penzance and Newlyn. Penzance is the ideal location for a base to visit both the North and South coasts of Cornwall. We have refurbished the Captain's Suite on the top deck as our guest accommodation. There is a double bedroom, a new en suite shower room and a lounge/dining room. The suite has it's own separate entrance and deck area affording guests privacy. A continental breakfast is laid out early each morning for guests to part take of at their leisure.

Decided to book Ocean Warden for the aspiration stated in the review title and it certainly didn't fail: the ship is a beautifully converted ex-trawler as described in the ad; it has a light, airy living room converted from the former wheelhouse whilst the only...More

About the neighbourhood
Penzance is the the most westerly town in Cornwall. It has a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs. The harbour is on the edge of the town and is used all year round by fishing boats, links to the Isles of Scilly plus local and visiting yatchsmen. It leads onto the promenade with stunning views of Mounts Bay, St.Michaels Mount and Newlyn. It is the perfect location to visit West Cornwall with all the famous visitor attractions within 15 - 20 mins drive. There are also excellent bus and train services available.
Getting around
We are 5 mins walk from the train station and bus station both offer frequent services to the whole of West Cornwall. A particular favourite is the coastal bus that runs around the whole of the coastline, stopping at all the places of interest - Mousehole, Porthcurno, Minack Theatre, Lands End, Geevor, St Ives, Marazion and all the villages in between. The train services run to St Ives, Newquay, Truro and Falmouth.
There are also various taxi and car hire firms.
