The self-catering accommodation is located on the fringe of the Porth area of Newquay, with both sea and countryside views, including Porth Island and Whipsiderry. Porth beach is about 250m away, being on the route of the South West Coastal Path. It is a quiet, peaceful position about two miles from Newquay town centre, although there are numerous, restaurants, eateries and take-aways within a mile radius. The location and accommodation would suit mature people seeking a pleasant Cornish coastal / semi-rural base.

Lovely location with sea views and walking distance to the beach. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The property was very clean and well equipped. Couldnt have wished for a better stay! Will certainly recommend.

About the neighbourhood
The accommodation is on the fringe of Newquay overlooking open countryside and farmland, and just 250 metres from the sea at Porth beach. Adjacent is a footpath leading to the village of St Columb Minor about 10 minutes walk away. The village is picturesque with a medieval church and village pub which serves good food and is dog friendly. From here, other footpaths link to Rialton water mill, Whipsiderry and Watergate bay via the SW coastal path. Other nearby pubs serving food are the Porth Lodge in Porth Bean Road and the Mermaid which is located on the beach. Just beyond the beach is Porth Island (Trevelgue Head) which is accessible via a short bridge at high tide, formerly being the site of an Iron Age fort.
Getting around
Buses to Truro, St Austell, Padstow and Wadebridge operate with stops about 10 minutes walk away.
Newquay Airport is just 5 miles distant, with flights connecting to Gatwick, Bristol and Leeds.
