Trecan is only 15 minutes from The Eden project, Looe, Polperro, and Fowey, and 45 minutes from the North coast of Newquay, Padstow, and Rock. We have just returned from a week staying at the Lindhay and will definitely be returning! It was a great spot for exploring the local area - we especially loved Looe for rock pooling on hannafore beach, crabbing and a boat trip to the island where we saw seals. The more local talland bay was also loved by the kids, (especially the fab cafe which had tables in beach huts) as well as the novelty of going to fowey by car ferry - also beautiful. The kids loved feeding the animals every morning, as well as playing tennis and table tennis and generally being able to roam about independently with some of the other children there. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The cottage was very comfortable and good value for money. We will look forward to coming back next year.

We stayed here for fours days absolutely loved it. Our two year old loved feeding the animals on the farm and the hosts are very accommodating, friendly and just great.
The cottage was perfect and the log fire made for cosy evenings.
We'll be returning that is for sure.

About the neighbourhood
Lanreath is a small village with a local shop run by volunteers, a beautiful chruch dating back to Norman times, a great community spirit which manifests itself with May day dancing round the Maypole, a music evening on the green, and several other events throughout the year. Lerryn is also a small village nestled in the valley with lovely riverside walks, stepping stones, a shop with cream teas served on the green, and a local Cornish pub!
Tradional plays a big part in Cornwall and for years people have been clebrating St Pirans Day (a Cornish Saint), local crafts and language, and of course eating the great Cornish Pasty and Cornish Clotted Cream Teas!

Ferry: Plymouth: 35.0 km
Take the M5 to Exeter, then the A38 to Plymouth, over the Tamar Bridge and enter Cornwall. Continue on this road on the Liskeard bypass to the Twelve woods roundabout at Dobwalls. Take the A390 to St Austell and at East Taphouse turn left on the B3359 to Looe. First right signposted Lerryn and Couches Mill, immediately left signed the same. At the T junction turn left then right and the entrance to the farm is approximately one mile along this road.
