Douglas Cottage is a grade II listed cottage within the City of Chester, designed by the renowned Architect John Douglas. Being of a fascinating fairytale gothic design it features sandstone faced walls with spires and turrets, an Architect’s dream.

Wonderful location in Chester. Close to shopping, all the sights and transportation. We drove and had no problems parking. Train station was within a 10 minute easy walk. Well equipped and easy to dine in if you want to cook. Restaurants and Pubs are very...More

The owners, Barbara and Andrew, were very friendly and helpful. A wonderful welcome basket of goodies on our arrival. Douglas Cottage is delightful. Chester is a lovely city with many things and places to visit and explore.

One of the most impressive attractions is the Rows, two-tier shopping galleries which date from the Middle Ages.

The Groves and the river Dee are just two minutes walk away, great for walks on the meadows and river cruises.
