The Granary at Chalk Farm, Babraham is a 17th century piggery converted to provide a comfortable home-from-home for the tourist or business visitor, offering complete privacy, excellent self catering facilities and much more space than most hotel rooms.

Situated just 6 miles south of Cambridge, Babraham is a quiet and pretty village ideally placed for exploring the University city and the surrounding rural beauty of Cambridgeshire. There is a good, regular bus service and the bus stop is five minutes walk away. Park & Ride with a bus to the city centre every 10 minutes is just 2 miles down the road.

We welcome a well-behaved dog for a small extra fee of £10. Please let us know if you will need bedding the futon, for which we also ask an extra £10. The Granary can also be booked for longer periods, and when booking for one or more months a significant discount is available. Please get in touch to arrange this.During the peak summer period (ie. the school holidays) the Granary is popular, so we do not always accept short bookings (2-3 nights) for this period until closer to the time (start of May). Our apologies for any inconvenience this causes.

Driving Instructions

Once you have found The George at the centre of Babraham, drive into the right hand side of the pub car park and head down the private road off to the right of the car park. Continue past the archway to your left and drive into Chalk Farm's courtyard ahead. You pass the entrance to the Granary as you enter Chalk Farm. You are most welcome to park in Chalk Farm's courtyard while you stay with us.

Bus from Cambridge

There is a good, regular bus service (The 13) and the bus stop on the main road for Babraham is five minutes walk away from The Granary.
