The Creamery is a lovely 1 bedroom former creamery beside the owners' 18th Century farmhouse. Situated at the top of the attractive grey stone village of Kniveton, the cottage is fully equipped with everything the holidaymaker could want.

With a barbecue and outside seating area, the cottage has shared use of the owners' spacious gardens, which contain fruit trees and seating as well as a pretty stream with wooden bridge over.

The local pub The Red Lion is within walking distance and serves good, home-cooked food.

The charming little church is next door, famous for its tower and font, both dating back to the 13th Century.

Miles of public footpaths cross the rolling fields all around, and there are many walks starting from the front door.

Kniveton is a small village which offers a great base for discovering the area. Close to Ashbourne, Wirksworth, Matlock, Bakewell which all offer good days out including fantastic food and a vast array of antique shops.

Sailing, windsurfing and bicyle hire are very close by at Carsington Water. Golf courses are dotted all over the region and offer a warm welcome to all who play.

Arts festivals and classical music can be found in many small festivals throughout the year. Bijou cinemas in Wirksworth and Belper offer a classic cinema experience from days gone by .

From the SOUTH - M1 to junction 25 . Take A52 to Derby and then carry on towards Ashbourne on the A52 . At Ashbourne head for the B5035 ( follow signposts for either Carsington Water or Wirksworth ) . The Creamery is next to the church in Kniveton.

From the NORTH - M6 to junction 16. Take the A500 to Stoke on Trent and then pick up the A52 to Ashbourne .At Ashbourne follow directions above.
