The Marriott Timberlodge is a great location in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. Accommodations and amenities are all fantastic and you could not be closer to the Heavenly gondola that takes you straight to Tamarak lodge on the mountain.

Beautiful property. Room was clean and spacious. Employees are super helpful. Time share sales don’t approach you. Try the on-site restaurant, fire n ice. Fun and tasty.

We’ve been going to Timber Lodge the first weekend...
We’ve been going to Timber Lodge the first weekend in June for years to do the America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride. TL provides a very consistent lodging experience in a very convenient location. Our only criticism would be that the beds are due to be replaced. Going to bed is a bit like crawling into a canoe instead of on to a flat surface.

We did not enjoy our stay at all. Construction started daily at 8am sharp (incl. Memorial Day) hammering and drilling right above our unit.
We paid a lot of money for two nights and our stay was way overpriced to live in a full blown construction site.
We went to the front desk and they said nothing they can do. They couldn’t move us to another room either since they were fully booked. The front desk staff mentioned that all homeowners were notified several times months in advance about the 7 day a week construction.
We have never been notified about this otherwise I would have canceled our stay months ago and stay somewhere else.
Not even at check in did they mention anything about the ongoing construction.
We will never stay here again. We came to relax and celebrate our anniversary. This did not happen so we are leaving with big disappointment!

We were able to bring our cousin from Germany and his family to enjoy a few nights at south shore Lake Tahoe at a great price! The suite was newly renovated and allowed us to be in the middle of all the area offers while affording us a great chance to enjoy family when not exploring the area.

Enjoyed Tahoe, we eat at Base Camp Pizza, family Favorite. Then we did some shopping and checked out a couple of Casinos.
