A period cottage dating back to circa 1760. It is  set back from the road and located on the edge of the village of Peasmarsh, between Rye and Northiam. The cottage has been beautifully restored and combines period beams, a lovely open Inglenook fireplace, with a modern kitchen and bathroom. There is a comfortable open living/ dining room with leather sofas to sit in and enjoy the open fire. There are 2 double bedrooms upstairs each with rural views. The bathroom is downstairs, with a bath and fixed shower over it.
The large garden is enclosed so ideal for children to play or adults to relax in It has a patio eating area with a BBQ conveniently situated outside the kitchen window. Owner very helpful and accommodating. Quaint, quiet and comfortable cottage with all necessary facilities inc. wi-fi, and barbecue, overlooking a lovely garden. Private setting and good parking.

What a wonderful holiday cottage! The location was perfect for visiting Rye, Hastings, and all the nearby attractions, and the cottage itself was delightful, with attractive character features throughout. We had a pleasant stay at this lovely little cottage. Enjoyed the history being approximately 260 years old. Lovely little village and close to other quaint country villages. Only note is that if you are more than 5ft to be careful of the doorways. I am only 5ft and it's fine but my husband had to make sure he didn't...

Detailed directions will be given when you have booked. It is easiest to drive there. There is ample secure parking for more than 1 car. There are trains and a bus stop beside the house so some guests have used only public transport. I would recommend using a car to enjoy the variety of places of interest.
Jempsons supermarket has a very good selection of local produce. 0.5 miles
There are a number of good pubs in Peasmarsh the nearest 0.5 miles
Rye is 3 miles and where there are a variety of restaurants and shops
Mainline rail service — Rye for services to Brighton and Ashford. From Ashford there is a high speed train to London and Paris. Ashford is 25 miles
