Within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the barns sits within a 25 acre farm in an area of idyllic countryside, offering you a peaceful luxury retreat. Medlars Barn once a dairy, has fantastic far reaching views across green fields and the enchanting countryside, yet it's only a stones throw from some wonderful attractions in this bountiful area.

Medlars has a great, light and airy feel due to the 2 sets of large patio doors that allow sunlight to flood in and showcase the cracking views of rolling countryside. Inside there are vaulted ceilings with beams, comfy sofas to curl up on, a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings in, a TV and lots of books and games to keep everyone occupied.

The kitchen area is light and spacious with seating for four and includes a dishwasher and washing machine.

Very nice place to stay, situated on a small farm with pigs and sheep with three individual accomodations. Friendly host and welcoming hamper on arrival. Not far from Rye and Hastings, although you do need a car to get anywhere of course. Not to much...More

From London: M25 exit junction 5 onto the A21 south signposted Hastings. Stay on A21 for just over 28 miles and at Flimwell turn LEFT onto the A268 and go through Hawkhurst, Sandhurst and Newenden. Enter East Sussex at the narrow bridge with traffic lights and then fork LEFT on the A268 after quarter of a mile - You will eventually reach a mini roundabout at Four Oaks - take the 2nd exit onto B2088 for Beckley. Then take the 2nd LEFT into King's Bank Lane. Continue straight on for approximately 1 mile onto Furnace Lane and through the woods. Escheatlands Farm will be on the LEFT past the woods. Turn into the unmade driveway and fork RIGHT to the barns
