Midway between Penzance and St Ives, just above the village of Ludgvan, The Tea House enjoys a magical setting overlooking a lily pond in the owner's fascinating four-acre garden which is full of rare and exotic plants and shrubs. Sited away from the two other properties at this location, it is accessed via its own driveway and is extremely private and tranquil.

Carefully converted from the owner's original artist's studio and based on an oriental tea house, the structure has a simple layout and blends perfectly into its almost tropical setting. A large deck area provides the perfect place to sit and relax, absorbing the views of the pond, and surrounding garden.

NB This property is not suitable for small children, except babies up to a year old.

First time staying in the tea house and we loved it. Peaceful and relaxing setting, situated close to various attractions. Sue the owner is very thoughtful and welcoming. A lovely break and hope to book again soon

Entrance from the deck via double French doors into a fitted kitchen with granite workstation and glass-topped dining table. Attractive sitting room with lofty beamed ceiling, comfortable seating, antique oriental pieces, polished bamboo floor and triple-aspect windows. Further door to patio. Bedroom with double bed and antique wardrobe. Fine views over the garden. En suite wet room/wc with double shower and marble floor and basin.

Outside: large deck with cane furniture overlooking the lily pond. Patio with granite Buddha feature, Bonsai maple and access to separate parking area. Picnic table and granite seat by the entrance with fine views over a wild valley.

Mount’s Bay is approx. 5 minutes’ drive, where Marazion Beach provides access via a causeway at low tide or by boat at high tide to the stunning St. Michael’s Mount with its medieval castle and sub-tropical gardens. Land’s End, Cape Cornwall, Sennen Cove and St Ives (famous for its artists’ community and offering several 'Blue Flag' beaches) are easy destinations, and there are superb coastal walks and numerous ancient houses and gardens to enjoy. There are also a number of locations nearby used for the popular Poldark television serial.
