Our property is a semi-detached 2 bedroomed bungalow. It is set in the peaceful woodland setting of Penstowe Park Holiday Village and offers spectacular views across the North Cornish countryside with views of the sea beyond the Coombe Valley. The bungalow is South facing so is sunny, light and airy. It offers a spacious kitchen/diner and is well equipped. It has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with storage, the chalet sleeps 4. There is a modern shower room (no bath). The lounge is homely with a flat screen TV/DVD and stereo CD player. The bungalow has double glazing and has just been fitted with new Eco electric heating. Duvets and pillows are provided with beds made up in fresh linens (at no extra cost) for your arrival. The preferred changeover day is Saturday to Saturday however this can be flexible. The owner personally checks and inspects the bungalow before your arrival to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and standards. There is a picnic bench and garden area to the front to enjoy the sun and the views. To the rear of the property there is a small copse where you can enjoy watching and feeding the array of birds that visit daily. A well behaved pet is very welcome, but at the discretion of the owner regarding breed and size. Min pet charge £25. Dogs are not allowed on furniture, in bedroom areas or to be left unattended at any time. You must bring bedding/cage to accommodate. For young children we can provide a highchair and bed safety rails if required, please ask if you need these. For weekly breaks we provide a basic welcome starter pack which includes tea, coffee, sugar, milk sachets etc to get you started. We also provide a kitchen essentials pack including washing up liquid, tea-towel, dish cloth for use during your stay. Penstowe Park has been awarded 4 stars by the English Tourism Council and is in a beautiful setting with a 19th Century Manor House which offers excellent facilities. The site sits in 25 acres of beautiful woodland grounds. All guests are welcome to enjoy all of the bar/restaurant/take-away and entertainment facilities free from any admission charges. Indoor pool side café serving snacks and drinks. There is an amusement arcade. There is an entertainment team during the busy seasons to entertain you and the children FREE OF CHARGE. For a small fee payable at Reception either with a daily or weekly pass you can enjoy unlimited daily use of the indoor heated swimming pool. There are various other sports and leisure facilities to enjoy with a new gymnasium on site. There is an enclosed and safe outdoor heated swimming pool which is free to use (not open all year). There is also an Eco woodland play park for the children based within the woods near to the chalet. The Stables Bar/Restaurant, under separate management, hosts further eating opportunities both inside and out and is a dog friendly pub. In the peak season they host evening entertainment featuring local bands. The laundrette (not open all year) is situated within this complex. Opened in 2016 there is a pizza take-away (Pizza Ape) set within the woodland grounds. The joy of this bungalow of course, is that you do not have to use any of these additional facilities on the park if you do not wish, we are an independent holiday home. They are extra, many free. This is reflected in our very reasonable prices to our guests as we know that if you wish to use certain facilities charges apply and therefore guests not wishing to use any facilities get a really good holiday price. The bungalow is a lovely retreat if you just wish to get away, relax and unwind or explore Devon and Cornwall as it is well placed for touring all of the local attractions with good traffic links. The bungalow is just a short walk from the lovely village of Kilkhampton. The village has two pubs serving excellent food, a fish & chip shop, a Chinese take-away. There is a Post Office and other small shops and supermarket for those holiday essentials. The nearest beach is a National Trust beach at Sandymouth Bay, approximately 2 miles away. There are a number of beaches close by in Bude with its beautiful clean, flat, sandy beach with tidal swimming pool amid the backdrop of rugged high cliffs and rolling countryside. Additional beaches ideal for surfing include Widemouth Bay. This is a homely property on a family holiday park and is therefore not suitable for lively parties or hen/stag functions. It is ideal for couples and families looking for a lovely Cornish break. We do expect our guests to leave the holiday home in a CLEAN AND TIDY condition. Interaction with guests
The owners will leave the key in the key safe on arrival. However the owners are always on call during your stay to discuss any concerns or deal with any issues that might arise. You might just have a question on how to use the heating? or where is something etc. We have a comprehensive landlord insurance and emergency back up in case something fails during your stay and needs to be dealt with urgently. Our Insurance promises to sort most issues out in 2 hours.

About the neighbourhood
Just a short stroll away is Kilkhampton village. The village provides two pubs serving various cuisine, other small retail shops and Post Office and take-away opportunities. Nearby Bude 5 miles away provides a wonderful town with lovely beaches and canal walks. Widemouth Bay provides surf, beaches and Cliffside pubs.
How to get there
From the M5 either at Junction 27 join the A361 towards Barnstaple then Bideford down the A39 towards Bude or at Exeter leave the M5 and join the A30 towards Okehampton and Holsworthy towards Kilkhampton. At Kilkhampton head towards Bude and continue for approx. 400 yards where you will see flags on the right highlighting Penstowe Holiday Village. Turn in and continue past chalets until you see the Stables Complex on your left. At the junction opposite The Manor House you turn left down towards The Manor Car Park on your right. Drive right in and Manor 10 will be right in front of you set back on grassy verge.
