Beaworthy is a superb barn conversion which is part of an active farm. Looking at the comments book we could see it has been running a number of years but it looks new and well maintained. My partner and two boys (9 and 15) loved the space and location. You'll see from the other reviews that you are presented with...

Oakleaf barn is such a lovely place to stay. this is our second time we have stayed here and it is just so peaceful and relaxing. Oakleaf is attached to the farmhouse with its own fenced area of garden. The owners Nick & Sandra Streams also have plenty of land for their 5 horses, 4 chickens and a lovely dog...

The cottage is huge and there is plenty of room. We (as a couple) had this to ourselves for a week and found it enjoyable. The large upstairs lounge with its very comfortable sofas and log burner is a very pleasant space in the evening with a large glass of wine. The kitchen was clean, well equipped and very big...

About the neighbourhood
Oakleaf Barn nestles in the most sparsely-populated area in the region—no 'rush hour' here—equidistant between the rolling moorland of Dartmoor (15 mins*) and the great beaches of the North Devon and Cornish coast, famed for its delightful fishing villages, cliff walks and sandy surfing beaches (nearest, 30mins). On the doorstep we have Winsford Walled Garden (10mins); Halwill Nature reserve (8 mins); the North Devon Alpaca Park (18 mins); and Cookworthy Forest with its cycle network (16 mins).

Dark skies are guaranteed as the nearest city is 45 miles away; you'll be stunned by what you can see from your patio, particularly on clear autumn and winter evenings (if you don't own a pair, why not buy or borrow a pair of binoculars or telescope to bring with you?).
