A relaxing and charming cottage, great location for our needs, it's our second time at brew cottage and can't fault it in any way, absolutely a bonus for taking your pets, with its enclosed garden and private parking area, can't wait to book our 2024 holiday.
Thank you Debbie & Ken you are fantastic & friendly hosts.

Idilic Haven.
A lovely place with everything you need for a relaxing break and an excellent base to see the surrounding area. Delightful owners nearby if you need anything. Welcome pack was a very nice touch. Property itself, is full of history.

Excellent but little things to notice for improvement
The stay was fantastic and it was a wonderful cottage. Very quite location. But a few things noticed, there were some hairs in the bed (possibly dog hairs). On the check out day the cleaners knocked the door at 9.50 AM (we do appreciate that the check out time was at 10.00 AM) and started their cleaning while we were inside (little more manners please...) . Also there was a spider in the kitchen and my kids were bit frightened about that.
So the cottage would be more wonderful if you could rectify the above.....

Thank you for your kind words. My apologies for the early call and if you believed it was bad manners. However I was away that weekend and our cleaner, of many years standing, in our opinion, is very professional and thorough. She informs me that it was 10 am and, as this is check out time, believed it was in order to commence cleaning as she has many other jobs to attend to during the day. We shall attempt to be more flexible and when I clean, which is more often than not, I'm normally more so.
The hairs in or on the bed is a mystery. Normally I clean and am very mindful that although it's a dog friendly cottage and we request that dogs are not allowed on the first floor some people do allow this. Therefore I'm very fastidious about this, however I will now be more so since the reporting of your experience. Many thanks for your understanding.
I also apologise regarding the spider but we live in the country, it's an old cottage and September through to November is an active period for spiders. We shall afford this some thought on how to control or mitigate this type of occurrence.
Thank you for your observations and we will endeavour to rectify your concerns.

Adorable cottage
We had a very pleasant stay at the Brew Cottage, which is a wonderful traditional english cottage situated in a calm rural surrounding. It's a great base for exploring Kent.
Deb was extremely helpful with everything we needed and we have already recommended this cottage to our friends. It's just the perfect place to relax and forget the everyday stress.
The local pub, The Gate Inn is very good.

BREW COTTAGE (Marshside Kent).....A Home from Home.
Cannot recommend this cottage highly enough, beautiful cottage with lots of charm, central location and close to main roads (but not too close to hear traffic), ideal for walking and for visiting the coast or the beautiful towns and harbours. Accommodation was wonderful esp with 3 girls the en suite and the 2 bathrooms was ideal. Great facilities and a lovely comfy place to relax and chill out. WI-FI was very hit and miss but not what we were there for girls managed okay with the lack of connectivity (lol). Highly recommend the King Ethelbert Inn at Reculver for a great home cooked meal. And St Margarets Bay where there is a fabulous pub with great food, a hidden gem. Ramsgate is fantastic for a day out but found Herne Bay a bit of a dump.
Owners friendly and nice to know on site if any issues although kept themselves to themselves so really felt like a holiday. Thank you for the wine and bread etc lovely touch. Overall a great place to stay, great cottage and great surroundings. Dog friendly too, but left mine in kennels as there was a nice garden which would not have been there had we taken the fur kids, but very dog friendly and the option was there.

ideal place to stay for Isle of Thanet
this is a lovely cottage tucked away in the countryside but only a few minutes drive from Herne Bay, Whitstable & Canterbury. inside, it has everything you need, is very comfortable and its been restored without losing the original character. There's direct access to a network of footpaths that you can follow all the way to the coast in one direction and five minutes in the other direction is the village pub. Recommended...
