Overview
Cottage -
2 Bedrooms , 2 Bathrooms , Sleeps 4
Cadgwith, Cornwall, England
As seen in Monty Halls' series 'The Fisherman's Apprentice' on BBC2.

In a row of whitewashed, thatched cottages in a Cornish fishing village, The Cot is one of those places where you can drink in all the atmosphere of Cadgwith and its history. Sunny and south facing, this cottage has been beautifully renovated to an extremely high standard, allowing you to enjoy the cove in very comfortable, stylish surroundings. Low beams, open stonework and original wooden doors - together with a secret room, possibly a smuggler's hidey-hole - all add to the appeal of this property which was built in the 16th Century.

About the neighbourhood
Cadgwith is a picturesque fishing village with whitewashed thatched cottages lining the sides of the valley and a small fleet of colourful fishing boats winched up on the shingle beach. The fact that the boats are still in use and the local pub (The Cadgwith Cove Inn) is renown for it's singing of Cornish songs of a Friday evening is testament to the traditional character of this village still being alive and well. The village also has a thriving gig club. Cadgwith featured in the film 'Ladies in Lavender' and is the base for Monty Halls' series: 'The Fisherman's Apprentice'.
