It has a large lounge complete with cosy sofa and chairs to relax in. A large double bedroom with original wooden flooring and ample wardrobe space and a light airy twin room with single beds. Comfortable, extremely well equipped and very clean. Lovely helpful owners. Central to all amenities, great pubs and restaurants. Topsham is a delight. We will be back.

Very good apartment, spotlessly clean parking outside and reasonable priced car park just a walk away.Liked the food shops in the high st. plenty of walks along the river we walked to Exeter, Exmouth, and Dawlish Warren Excellent bus service also. weather was good all...More

About the neighbourhood
Topsham is nestled on the East side of the River Exe and is the former port of Exeter. The town has a long and ancient history dating back to the Roman period.
Formerly a major seaport trading in cotton, the town is now of interest for its architecture with many of the houses being built using Dutch bricks which were brought over in exchange for wool and cotton.
Topsham has great proximity to nature reserves for wading and migrating birds with RSPB Bowling Green Marsh located on the Exe estuary, the whole of which is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
It also boasts its own museum which is located in a 17th century building overlooking the Exe Estuary and displays the local history of the town and memorabilia of Vivien Leigh, the film star.

Getting around
The train station in Topsham can take you further down the Devon coastline or in to Exeter. It is a 5 minute walk from the apartment with frequent services all day and in to the evening.
There are regular buses in to Exeter that run all day and in to the evening.

Travelling Southbound on the M5
-Exit Junction 30
-Take first exit off the roundabout (direction Sidmouth/Exmouth)
-At the next roundabout turn right
-Continue straight on at the next roundabout
-At the George and Dragon roundabout, turn right
-Go past Darts Farm, over the small bridge with Bridge Inn pub on the right
-At the small roundabout turn left and cross the level crossing
-At the small roundabout turn left down Fore Street
The property can be found on the right hand side of the road, down past the church accessed via Vintage Now Interiors. Pull in on the left hand side of the road to unload being careful of cars along this one way street.

Travelling Northbound on the M5
-Exit Juntion 30
-Take the fourth exit (direction Sidmouth/Exmouth)
