Marrakech Mansion is a registered heritage property built in 1860. It is located in the heart of the Historic old town of Niagara on the Lake. You are one block from Queen Street, one block from the Golf Course and ½ block from Queens Royal Park where the Niagara river meets Lake Ontario. The house has 4 bedrooms, three with Queen sized beds, one with two single beds plus a fold out couch in the library for an extra two guests to a maximum of 10. The beds are all equipped with sheets and duvets, warm duvets for winter and cooler ones for summer. Each bedroom is supplied with two bath towels, a supply of hand towels are in the bathrooms. The bedrooms are all located on the second floor leaving the main floor for entertaining and visiting. The dining room, living room and library are all connected with lots of room spread out. The new flat screen TV is connected to a HD feed so the picture is perfect! The phone system will allow you to call about 60 countries at no cost and the Wi-Fi signal is excellent. The kitchen is fully equipped, with Fridge, Stove, Dishwasher, Microwave plus cooking utensils and plates enough for ten people. We supply the salt, pepper and filters for the coffee maker. The house has three bathrooms, two on the second floor both of which have showers and a ½ bath off of the kitchen. The private side garden adjacent to the kitchen is where you will find the Weber gas BBQ and Moroccan tile table that will seat ten. The table, chairs and the gate leading into the side garden were all made in Morocco and shipped to Canada in a container. The remainder of the property contains a parking area for at least 5 cars, lots of grass and flowers. My wife and I are the gardeners; we love gardening and do our best to keep the property looking its best. The garden area is the size of 2 normal city properties so there is lots of room to relax and spread out. Look at the photos to see what I have described above. This is your home as well so we try to keep it the way we do our own. In fact my wife says that Casablanca Cottage and Marrakech Mansion are in better shape than our own home! Thank you for your review.

About the neighbourhood
Just around the corner from the Golf course, 1/2 block to the river, one block to Queen Street. This house really is in the middle of Historic Niagara on the Lake. The property would have originally been much larger however over time (since 1860 when it was built) peaces have been sold off. What is left is a house sitting in the middle of a double sized city lot. Lots big enough when you are cutting the grass or weeding! We landscaped the property a few years ago, adding a sprinkler system, flowerbeds and shrubs. The landscaping incorporated a private side garden surrounded by cedar trees. The private garden contains a tile Moroccan table that seats 8 and a Weber Gas BBQ. We also enlarged the parking area making room for several cars to park. This is a wonderful property to spend time in, it has lots of room both inside and out.
