Our team live locally and we are available via email or telephone should you need us. What a gorgeous cottage, beautifully equipped and maintained and just perfect for our 3-generation family holiday. Be aware that some reversing on a single track road may be necessary, as although traffic is rare, we did meet a tractor and trailer one day! Downstairs is...More

Spent a lovely 5 nights at Trengrove Cottage. The cottage is well located, on the side of a valley at the end of a very quiet road/track with only a couple of other houses in sight. Only 20 min drive to Looe, Polperro or Fowey....More

About the neighbourhood
➤ THE AREA
There is a wealth of local attractions easily accessible from Trengrove Cottage including; Talland Bay, the picturesque fishing ports of Looe, Fowey and Polperro, the Woolly Monkey Sanctuary, the internationally renowned Eden Project and Tate Gallery St Ives. As well the many filming locations seen in the BBC’s Poldark production, and the beautiful fishing village Port Isaac in north Cornwall which plays the fictional village of Portwenn in ITV's much-loved Doc Martin series.

Several stately homes and gardens including; Lanhydrock, Cotehele, Mount Edgcumbe, Port Eliot and Antony House can be easily reached from here, as well as rugged Bodmin Moor and a variety of beautiful, beaches, bays and coves along the stunning coastline.

Trengrove Cottage is in a secluded location 1½ miles from the nearest village Pelynt. There is no public transport 'on the doorstep'. There is a bus service from Pelynt, which is approx. 40 minutes walk. We strongly recommend our guests use a car when staying here.

We recommend our guests use a car. Private parking space for two cars is available at the cottage. We will forward you a pdf file with driving directions and a local map which we strongly advise you to print and use. Guests not using our directions always get lost!

Satellite Navigation with postcode input is highly unreliable in the country lanes where streets do not have listed names, and a single postcode covers a large area!

There is no public transport 'on the doorstep'. There is a bus service from the nearest village Pelynt, which is approx 40 minutes walk. The nearest train stations are Looe (6 miles) and Liskeard (7 miles). Taxis are available at both stations.
