Comfortable, small, detached, self-catering house, close to the seafront. Sleeps up to 7 : 1 double bedroom; 1 twin room;1 small bedroom with bunk; upstairs bathroom. 1 ground-floor single bedroom and downstairs wet-room as well as ground-floor living areas, make the house more accessible for those with disability needs. Fully equipped kitchen. Washing machine and tumble drier. Dishwasher. Free WiFi /TV/DVD. Off-road parking for 1 car. Enclosed garden and outdoor seating. Linen and towels provided. Short 10 minute walk to shops. Dog by arrangement: we normally allow 1 small dog, with dog supplement chargeable. Private pool next door can be hired by arrangement with the owners for hourly slots. Great location, lovely house. Had everything we needed and wouldn't hesitate staying here again. Felt that some parts of the house, both inside & out, were 'tired' & need updating. However, this didn't spoil our holiday in any way. Would recommend to anyone and would...More

The house is absolutely lovely with everything you could possibly need. The owners were very attentive and we couldn't have asked for more. The beach and amenities only a short walk away. We had a fantastic time and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Interaction with guests
Marion and Brook have rented the Chart House for 22 years. We are on hand on arrival to show you into the house and usually available through the stay. We provide linen and there are basics for arrival, but happy to provide more provisions if you let us know beforehand. We can suggest places to go and there's a folder with Tourist Information to help.

About the neighbourhood
The Chart House is 1 road back from the seafront in a residential area. It's a popular area for wind and kite surfing, sailing and jet skiing, gliding and flying at Daedalus Airfield. There are many local places to eat: pubs, tea shops and cafes around the High Street and seafront area. The Alver Country Park is a 10 minute walk away where people can walk and cycle. As part of the Gosport peninsula, the many places of historic interest include the Submarine and Explosion museums and the award winning Little Woodham Living History Museum. It's a 10 minute drive to the Leisure Centre and Ice Rink, a BMX park and Stokes Bay with a children's splash area and Crazy Golf. There are coastal walks nearby in the wildgrounds at Browndown.
How to get there
Lee-on-the-Solent is on the Gosport Peninsula lying between Portsmouth and Southampton. It is a seaside town with views over to The Isle of Wight. Transport by car from M27 south to Fareham/Gosport/Lee-on-the-Solent Train to Fareham then bus to Lee-on-the-Solent or to Portsmouth Harbour/Gosport Ferry and bus to Lee-on-the-Solent
