Dining room (downstairs): four-person dining table that can open out to accommodate more. Sliding glass doors open onto courtyard and plunge pool. Kitchen: Six-burner stove, full size fridge, microwave oven, toaster and dishwasher (a rarity for Merida), thick-base pots and pans, mixing bowls, chef's knives, Tupperware, and comes fully equipped with a six-person dinner setting, quality wine glasses, cookware and flatware. Laundry: A washing machine is provided for guest use. Bikes: two bikes and bike-lock are provided free of charge. Our bi-lingual house manager meets guests at the property on check in and provides an orientation of the house. She is available during the stay to organize water delivery, gas refill, repairs and emergencies.More

The owner does not live on property. Our house manager lives close by and is your first point of contact for any house issues. HOUSE MANAGER DUTIES: Our house manager is available to trouble shoot any issues with the property itself (gas, internet, electricity and the like) as part of the rental agreement. CONCIERGE: Our house manager is available for hire independently as a concierge to book tours and transfers, stock the house with food, provide catering or even organize a horse drawn carriage wedding anniversary. These services are not part of the rental fee and (to provide the cheapest possible price) we do not take a commission. They must be organized and paid for in advance.

Merida's historic center is flat and easily walkable or navigated on bicycle. Most attractions, museums and restaurants are located in the Santiago, Santa Ana, Santa Lucia and Parque Principal areas. Leafy Santiago Park, with its beautiful church and daily market, is just three blocks away.Within a short stroll are the arts district of Santa Ana, the nightly festivities of the main square and Merida's answer to the Champs Elysees, Paseo Montejo, with its bars, mansions and elegant restaurants.
Getting around
We provide car service and driver details to confirmed guests. The house is located in the historic center and there are supermarkets and markets close by. A car is therefore not needed during your stay.
