Casita del Mango at Rancho de los Suenos

Holiday Rental House -
1 Bedroom , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 2
Todos Santos, Baja California
A small, studio style very private casita with an authentic thatched roof. Part of our 1 1/2 acre ranchito, totally green, ie solar powered with propane gas appliances. A small kitchenette with a two burner stove and small under counter refrigerator.
The bathroom has a unique indoor/outdoor (screened) shower with views up through a mango tree.
A 25 meter walk along a winding slate pathway gets you to the solar powered swimming pool.
Nestled amongst mature mango trees and coconut palms - if you're a birdwatcher, the birds will thrill you!
If available we have fresh arugula, lettuce and tomatoes in our organic garden and of course in season MANGOS - we can't give them away! What a treat to pick your own mangos for breakfast or to swirl up into a mango margarita.
Approx. 1 km walk past the basil and chile fields to the Pacific Ocean...

The service at Hacienda Todos Los Santos was exceptional. The intimate environment was personal and my Hosts Tori and Mike (and pooch Bruno!) were always available if necessary. The room was wonderfully appointed, I had a private pool and the Casita was a traditional Palapa...More

After landing in Cabo, renting a car, and trekking northwest on the Baja - we made our way to Mike and Tori's little oasis - tucked away amidst pepper farms, taco stands and desert dirt roads. What an amazing property these two ex-pats have created...More

A very special setting slightly inland from a more developed coastal area. The casita is a beautifully designed but no frills accommodation. The grounds are lovely with mango and palm trees. The pool was beautiful but slightly cool most of the time.

About the neighbourhood
The area between Mex. HWY 19 and the Pacific Ocean is one of the most fertile agricultural areas in Baja. Made famous by an organic basil grower and of course, mangos. There are fields of basil, chiles, chives. oregano, rosemary, sometimes papayas, sage, tomatos - goes on and on. Typically there is a crop of some kind being grown all year round.
A dirt road winds amongst these fields from the HWY to the ocean. The casita is approx. in the middle, off on a private access away from the dirt road so it is amazingly private, quiet and unforgettable.
Surf breaks as close as 2.5km. The quaint 'Pueblo Magico' of Todos Santos, 7km away. Cabo San Lucas is a half hour drive and La Paz for whale shark watching and authentic Mexico city 45minutes. Fantastic sport fishing out in the Pacific...

How to get there
Airport: San Jose del Cabo: 161.0 km
Ferry: La Paz: 100.0 km
From Hwy 1 in El pescadero turn west on a dirt road just south of the OXXO/Pemex gas station. There is a large sign pointing to Hotel Rancho Pescadero. Approx. 1km, 75m past 'Hierbabuena Restaurant' is an entrance on the right with a simple mesh gate and round river rock pillars. Go through this gate into the mangos and palm trees. 100m in is our gate, covered in ivy. Ring the red cowbell vigorously so we can hear it and we'll come out to greet you! See you soon!
