About the neighbourhood
Westfield offers traditional family accommodation in an unspoilt locatiion, with access to the beach (via swings and seasaw!) within 100 yards.
Hill and coastal walks, cliffs and caves and wildlife including Seals, Otters and Red Squirrels right on the doorstep.

A general stores and post office is just up the road in Pirnmill, along with the excellent 'Lighthouse' restaurant.
Attractions in the vicinity are the 'Old Byre Visitor Centre' and the Golf course at Machrie, or the distillery at Lochranza.
Getting around
Westfield can be reached by car. For those travelers on foot, there is a regular Bus service that runs both clockwise and anticlockwise around the island. Buses will stop by request outside the house. Arran is also justifiably popular with cyclists and the quiet roads with spectacular views are an experience worth enjoying.

How to get there
Ferry: Brodick: 25.0 km
As Arran is an island, it is strongly recommended to book your ferry early to secure your preferred crossing. The most popular Saturday times fill up quickly!. Foot passengers do not usually need to pre-book.
The main ferry route to Arran is from the port at Ardrossan on the mainland (left from Glasgow on the map), arriving at Brodick.
Westfield is on the West coast of the Island and will take approx half an hour by road (via 'the string' over the mountains). Full travel details and a pictorial step-by-step will be sent nearer the time of your holiday. There is private off road parking for up to three cars opposite Westfield's front door.
