cosy comfortable clean and spacious. like a home not a rental property. everything you needed for a great stay. lovely outside garden especially when sun shines. village interesting and friendly. again everything you need within easy walking distance.would love to come again. thanks

Weekend nights are Friday night and Saturday night. Sunday is priced as a weekday night. Bed linen and towels are provided. The house will be normally be ready at 3.30pm on arrival and should be vacated by 10am on departure. Further details and arrangements for access will be sent when the balance is received. Upon your arrival you will be welcomed by Helen who will be happy to help you if you have any problems during your stay.

About the neighbourhood
St.Monans is one the most typical of the East Neuk fishing villages, the heart of which is a conservation area; many houses have been restored by the National Trust for Scotland. Amongst the huddle of traditional cottages by the harbour wall is the St Monans Heritage Collection (museum.)
The now quiet harbour, built for a busy fishing fleet, is now mainly used by leisure boats. Boat building has always been important to the life of the village, and you may see work going on at the quayside. The ancient Auld Kirk sits on the rocky shoreline to the west. Further along there is a lovely walk by the coastal path to the ruins of Newark Castle and miles of golden sands.To the east is St Monans Windmill, (open July and August.) Getting around
The number 95 bus (Fife Coastliner), runs hourly in both directions along the A917 between St Andrews bus station and Leven bus station.

There is free parking in the street at the front of the house. If that is full you can park on the grass at the back of the house on the side of the village green.
St Monans is on the Fife coast road between Elie and Pittenween.
There are buses from the village in both directions. Towards Kirkcaldy/Edinburgh and towards St Andrews/Dundee.
There are lovely walks along the coastal path in both directions and you can get the bus back to St Monans.
St Monans is approximately one hour drive from Edinburgh and 30 mins from St Andrews.
The nearest train stations are Kirkcaldy or Leuchars. From there you can catch a bus to St Monans.
There are airports at both Edinburgh and Dundee.
