Hosting one double bedroom, and a shower room, this property can sleep up to two people. Inside you will also find a kitchen/diner, and a sitting room with a woodburner. To the outside is off road parking for one car, and a gravelled garden to the rear with furniture. Town: The village of St. John’s Town of Dalry is home to two pubs offering meals, and a general store. The nearby towns of New Galloway and Castle Douglas provide more opportunities for shopping. Ideally located for walking, fishing and cycling, the surrounding Galloway Forest Park houses some of the renowned 7stanes cycle venues and also boasts the UK’s first Dark Sky Park.More

I visited here last November so this was our second visit. It’s s great area with lots to do. The cottage is cosy and I would have rated it v good but for a few points. There isn’t a washing machine, not handy at all....More

The cottage is well-equipped and very comfortable for two people. Being a single-storey building with a gravelled, fenced garden, it is ideal for a dog. The central location of the cottage makes it convenient for visiting most locations in SW Scotland by car, and even...More
