My stay at the Bungalow room at Lakou Breda was very pleasant and both breakfast and dinners were tasty, authentic Haitian food. There are rooms with kitchens and some without; both are good. I stayed in a neat, clean, modern single room without a kitchen for $55/night. It is in a new building built in the style and trim of an old Cal Haitian building. There is a covered outdoor barbecue where they serve meals and drinks all day and much of the night. The grounds are beautiful, too, with a canopy of mature shading trees throughout. The hotel shares the grounds with some apartments which house people from all over the world (including Haiti), which makes for great conversation at the barbecue facility. There is also a small canteen where one can buy beverages, snacks and a few personal items. This is a great place to stay in Cap Haitian and I would recommend it to travelers, as well as people working here in Haiti for a while.
