Thank you for you feedback. So sorry about the mice, that's one of the possible issues with living in the countryside, appreciate your understanding. So good to hear you enjoyed your stay, despite the uninvited guests ! Hope to see you in the near future....More

About the neighbourhood
The cottage is perched at the highest point on our 500 acre hill farm with stunning views across to the Lakeland Fells & Hadrian's Wall.
There are walks straight from the door, and we are more than happy for our guests to explore the farm, and share our place.
There are Roman sites in the village, which is 1.4 miles.
In the village we have a delightful Pub with Bistro food, and a café with great coffee, snacks & cakes, and also where you can pick up supplies.
Getting around
The best way to see the sights would be exploring by car, this really gives you the freedom to explore the many Roman sites along Hadrian's Wall.
The nearest train station would be Haltwhistle which is approx. 5miles, this can take you into Carlisle or Newcastle.
We also have a Roman Wall bus AD122 which tours between Greenhead & Hexham, stopping at all the important Roman sites.
