(one also has a cot bed suitable for a small child). As an old cottage I have tried to remain sympathetic to it's rustic character and charm, allowing you to enjoy it's relax and unwind in pleasant surroundings. Outside there is parking for two cars and pleasant gardens both front and back, a decking area with garden furniture to enjoy the first cup of tea of the day, a brick built barbecue and sun loungers available for the most relaxing of days. Situated in the heart of the village there is always someone to talk to, and you're never far from anywhere, in addition to the pubs and shops there is an excellent children's playground for a change from the beach, while on the edge of the village is a beautiful church dating back to the 1500's and seals often seen on the beach and playing in the sea, meaning that there is always something to do or somewhere to visit PLEASE NOTE due to the design of the cottage there are several small internal steps and the staircase is wooden, quite steep and turns, and therefore not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Please ask if you have any concerns before booking. Sorry no pets or smoking allowed.More

Had a week at Henry's Cottage with a family of 4 at the beginning of Aug and have to say what a beautiful cottage it was and the village was picture perfect with some beautiful thatched cottages. Henry's Cottage is a fantastic place to use...More

We stayed at Henry's last year to visit the seal colony. The cottage is a typical old fisherman's cottage that retains its old charm with a modern touch especially the kitchen area. Easy walking distance between the beach, local shop and the local pub. Marie...More

We did enjoy our stay here. It is a well equipped cottage in a great location, close to the sea, shop and pub. It was also very clean and comfortable. The major drawback for us was the steep curved staircase combined with a downstairs bathroom...More

Thanks for your review, I'm sorry you weren't aware of the staircase and downstairs shower room, I will amend my description to reflect this. Unfortunately I have limited control about HL publish to describe the cottage,

Interaction with guests
Although I'm not lucky enough to live in the village full time, I can generally be reached by mobile or email, and happy to answer any queries, prior to your stay I will send you extensive notes of how to get there, where to get the key and a bit about the cottage and surrounding area, and if you want any suggestions about what to do with you time, I'm happy to help. Inside the cottage, there are a range of leaflets for local attractions, and maps and suggested walks for you to use during your stay.

About the neighbourhood
Norfolk is one of Englands lesser know Gems, A beautiful and varied landscape, with miles of unspoilt beaches and Dunes. Norwich is a delightful city that is only 30 minutes away by car and is well worth a visit. The broads are right on your doorstep and you can easily organise a day trip to see the area from a different prospective. Deep sea fishing is available close by as are a number of National Trust properties.
Getting around
Although there is a local bus and trains come into both Norwich and Great Yarmouth, the best way to get around is either by foot or bike locally and a car if you wish to go a bit further.
