Holiday Rental House
Cloverhill Gate Lodge is over 250 years old, hence this charming stone built property is a step back in time. It offers tranquillity and friendliness. Despite being a cottage the bedrooms are average in size. The downstairs bedroom has a toilet so this suits guests who may not wish to use the stairs. There is also a second shower room off the kitchen .The cooker/oven/grill are all electric. There is a garden at the front of the cottage and a beautiful wild garden at the rear of the cottage for guests to relax in. 1.Guests are welcomed with a friendly smile and a cup of tea along with some fresh sandwiches after their journey. 2.In the winter time for guests wishing to spend a week-end they will also be welcomed with an open fire which will already be blazing for arrival. 3.Ample coal & l...Cloverhill Gate Lodge is over 250 years old, hence this charming stone built property is a step back in time. Interaction with guests
I always make sure to be available to meet my guests if for some reason I am unavailable my husband will greet my guests and hand over the keys. We live across the garden from the Gate Lodge so therefore we are hands -on all the time if my guests need anything. I do welcome a text or phone call 1 hour before arrival as this time allows me to add the extra touch to the cottage. .

Super friendly owner. Very warm welcome. House quite traditional but extremely clean. Only room for four to sit in lounge but this was fine for us as there were only four of us.

About the neighbourhood
Cloverhill is a charming village surrounded by woodland and lakes and also boasts a Church and a first class restaurant. A car is needed, however there is a bus service which runs from both Cavan town and Belturbet town . The property is situated out in the country on the border of Co Cavan and Co Fermanagh. This makes it ideal for tourists wishing to tour both north & south of the country. Despite the Gate Lodge set in the country side Dublin and Belfast are just two hours drive away, and the local village of Butlersbridge is less than five minutes drive away. If interested in golf there are also golf courses nearby. For guests who do not mind driving the Gate Lodge is only two and half hours drive to the famous Giant's Causeway in Co Antrim. The Marble Arch Caves is thirty minutes dri...
How to get there
Belfast International Airport to Cloverhill is 146.2 km taking the A4 which should take 1hr 58 mins.
