Shenley is perfectly placed for visiting the many towns and villages of the North Cotswolds, as well as further afield places, such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford and Bath. This attractive, well-proportioned property has many character features, including stone mullion windows, a large stone fireplace with wood burning stove, exposed beams and many well-chosen antiques. Modern facilities including wireless internet access, a TV with DVD player, and a well-presented kitchen complement the historic character of the property. Shenley sleeps six people, in three bedrooms, with two bathrooms. There is a lawned area at the front of the property and a courtyard at the back, whilst a driveway to the side of the property provides parking space for two cars. Shenley is perfect for a family or a group of friends looking for a relaxing break in a historic property, in one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds. House Rules Security deposits Security deposits are not required (please note that guests are still liable for any damage or additional cleaning required as a result of their actions). Occupancy The maximum occupancy of the property is six guests, at any point during your stay. Unauthorised over occupancy is a breach of our terms and conditions and may result in the cancellation of your booking and additional charges. Please consult us prior to booking if you wish to discuss the possibility of having more than six guests at the property. Infants who sleep in a cot do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions, the occupancy figure may only be exceeded by up to two additional infants. Pets Up to two medium sized dogs are accepted, at a cost of £20 per booking per dog. For the comfort of future guests, we ask that dogs remain downstairs, stay off the furniture and that no trace of a dog remains after your departure. Bed sizes and configurations Bedroom 1: Double bed Bedroom 2: 2 x single beds Bedroom 3: Super king size bed Bathrooms Family bathroom: Walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail Bedroom 3 ensuite: Freestanding bath with shower attachment, wash basin and toilet Ground floor cloakroom: Toilet and wash basin Heating, fuel and logs The property has an oil fired central heating system. Electricity and oil are included in the rental price. An initial basket of logs is provided for the wood burning stove and further log supplies can be purchased locally. Parking The property has off street parking for two cars, with additional quiet on street parking available close by. Housekeeping Where a letting exceeds nine nights, a mid-stay clean, bed linen and towel change may be included in the price. Please check with us to confirm. Additional housekeeping services may be available on request. Child friendly facilities A travel cot (without linen) and high chair are provided. Initial consumables A small quantity of initial consumables is provided for your convenience (eg. tea, coffee, sugar, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, soap, washing powder, toilet rolls, etc), however, you should not expect the quantity of these provisions to be sufficient for the duration of your stay. Beautiful cottage in a quiet village. Still just a very short drive to town. Pretty walking paths and playground at the end of the driveway. Loved our stay here!

Shenley is an elegant home full of character. Perfect for our family get together. 3 spacious, comfortable bedrooms, lovely sitting room and stylish kitchen. Situated near to Stow on the Wold but in a quiet, pretty village with a very good pub. Lovely walks from...More

About the neighbourhood
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone 'wool churches'. The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
