A perfect romantic hideaway for couples, Loft has a private west-facing balcony offering beautiful views over the valley. Below is the garden sun terrace with an outdoor earth oven to cook a pizza or just to take the edge off a chilly evening.

Inside, nine steps lead to Loft’s cosy sitting room, where the wood-burning stove provides the centrepiece.

Loft is set in the upper part of the converted old barn, where corn was stored on the stalk for threshing over the winter. Like Tullet, it overlooks the farmyard.

We’ll give you a warm welcome at the farmhouse when you arrive, then show you to your cottage and go through things such as how the heating works. We’ll make sure there’s a pint of local organic milk, some tea and a home-made cake or biscuits for you. Please no supermarket deliveries. We are happy to arrange a hamper of local and organic produce for your stay, depending on availability. Just let us know when you book.

About the neighbourhood
We're in the Cotswolds, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are several walks that start and end on the farm passing country pubs and cafes on the way. You can explore the canal that used to connect the rivers Severn and Thames, or discover the ruins of an abandoned mill. Or just go for a ramble...

If four legs are better than two, ride out from the farm on our three ponies! We will lead the novice looking for a first experience of riding or ride with the more experienced rider to explore the many bridleways and tracks across the farm and beyond. Just book in advance.

Restaurants, pubs, the country's best farmers' market, golf, museums, circus – it's all within easy reach, but not too close.

We're just off Junction 13 of the M5, 30 minutes from Junction 15 of the M4, 90 minutes from London Paddington.

We are just off the A419 halfway between Stroud and Cirencester

From the M4 take exit 15 north for Swindon, then follow signs to Cirencester. At Cirencester follow signs for the A419 to Stroud. Six miles from Cirencester you will see the Jolly Nice cafe and deli on the left. After 500m there is a lay-by on the right. Enter the lay-by and the entrance to the farm is at the far end.

From the M5 take exit 13 to Stroud, then follow signs for the A419 to Cirencester. Four miles after leaving Stroud, the entrance to the Westley Farm is on the left at the top of Chalford Hill. Enter the drive and take the first left. If you reach the mini-roundabout you have missed the entrance. Take the first exit from the roundabout then immediately...
