Beautiful lodge in a lovely peaceful setting next to the river. Very spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. Lovely countryside, nice walks and nearby attractions.

We stopped this June at Clun Valley Lodges, and it is exactly what it says on the tin, a peaceful get away from the noise and everyday hassle of life. Lovely and quiet with the running river just outside the decking. Not the easiest park...More

About the neighbourhood
A.E. Houseman's poem “ A Shropshire Lad” called Clun “the quietest place under the sun”, and with its dramatic ruin of a Norman castle, Saxon church, the bustling river which flows under the 14th century pack horse bridge and three country inns, Clun is a rural gem situated in the South Shropshire Hills. It lies in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close to the border of Wales, in an area known as The Marches. This unspoilt part of Britain has an abundance of wildlife and beautiful unhindered walking and cycling country with the Clun and Kerry Forests, Offa's Dyke and Kerry Ridgeway all close by. Enjoy the historic towns of Bishops Castle, Presteigne, Ludlow, Shrewsbury and Hereford - a must for visitors. A ten minute walk up the lane brings you to Clunton's pub c... more

How to get there
Once you arrive in Clunton, look out for the village pub called The Crown. Take the lane on the left hand side of the pub for a short distance until you cross a bridge. Then turn left and follow the lane down towards Bush Farm. Just before you get to the farm, the entrance to Clun Valley Lodges is on your left. As you enter the site, Ash Lodge is the second one on the left hand side in front of you, next to the river.
