The house is beautiful but there was a break in while we were sleeping. Luckily the intruders did not come into our bedroom. The intruders broke in by smashing a window in the living room. The owner told us the next day that the intruders...More

Sitting in very hot car for hour or Two we entered this beautiful self catering unit .Beautiful garden and the most inviting pool i have ever experienced.The house is just beautifully furnished ,if you still appreciate the old world.I cam really recommend the PINKPALEIS.

We stayed in Womble cottage. Split level cottage with steep staircase to bed and bath area. Like a step back in time with lovely antique furniture and ornaments. Well equipped and loved the private garden area. Situated in Main Rd so easy walk to Sat...More

The town is full of character with oak tree-lined lanes, gravel roads, beautifully restored buildings, quaint cottages, and pretty gardens. There are lots of eateries, antique and craft shops and art galleries. Greyton is popular with nature lovers, hikers, bikers, birdwatchers and anyone else who just wants to spend a weekend away in the country.

Greyton is also famous for its Rose Fair, held every year in October.

From Cape Town
To get to Greyton from Cape Town is about a 90 minute drive. Take the N2 east towards Somerset West. Going through Grabouw and approaching Caledon you would need to look out for the Greyton / Genadendal turnoff going to the left, this would be the R406. Greyton is about 32 km along the R406, roughly taking about 20 minutes of driving. Pinkpaleis is located in the Main Road, on your right hand side, opposite Fiore Garden Centre, as you come into Greyton.
