Really comfortable cottage in striking distance of great places to visit, yet off the tourist trail. Our host could not have been more helpful. Nice vegie patch and interesting books on the shelves.

About the neighbourhood
The village is small, with a local shop/Post Office and a Cricket Club for socialising. There are many local walks. Cornwall however offers much to do all year round. There are beautiful beaches like Watergate Bay and sparkling coves like Mullion and Kynance. Surf is good - mostly on the north coast. You can visit coastal fishing villages like Mevagissey, Fowey, Polperro or see Cornish heritage sites such as Tin Mines and China Clay Museum. The National Trust manage several properties There is the coast path, cycle trails, woods and moorland. Try top visitor attractions like Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan. For children there are theme parks - Dairyland, Flambards, steam trains and castles, soft play and trampolines, go-karts.
Getting around
A car is recommended but if using public transport there are buses from the village to Truro and St Austell, from where you can pick up more buses or a train. Trains get you to Falmouth, Penzance, Liskeard, Saltash.
