Open plan Barn conversion with a double bed on the gallery and a bathroom. Downstairs there is a further bedroom on ground level with 2 single beds and a bathroom. There is room in the bedroom for another campbed as families come in all sizes so it is an option which is often taken up. There is a fully fitted kitchen with microwave and fridge and the lounge area has a big stone fireplace with a log burning stove. There is a colour TV and a DVD player and a free to use jukebox with records from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Full central heating and ample parking. All linen supplied. Although completely private The Barn is right next door to our house and I am always happy to assist with any questions if required.

I stayed for the second time at Linda and Mick , first in the Stable and now in the Barn, wich was fantastic as well . I was with my dog Amy and had a fantastic time, great walks along the canal !! Feels so at home !! Back again for sure!!!

Cosy place to stay. Very quiet. Would recommend & stay again. 😊 Beautiful walks on the canal & bonus we brought the Sun with us all the way from Australia 🇦🇺

A beautiful accommodation set in a very quiet colder sack with great walks around the canal. The owners were so friendly and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended 😊

There is a small step from the front door into the property and so would be suitable for somone who has difficulty climbling stairs as the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom can all be accessed from ground level. It has a flat screen TV, DVD player and Wi-fi but is comfortabley furnished with antique pictures on the walls and a well stocked bookcase with books on the area as well a novels which guests are quite free to take away with them.

About the neighbourhood
Stourbridge is know world wide for its glass industry. The Crystal works have changed with the passing of the years and has been replaced with exciting new designers and a Glass Bienale is now held in the town every 2 years attracting visitors from every corner. There are some great places to eat, good pubs and a choice of Indian, Italian and Chinese restaurants within a 5 minute car journey. Beautiful canal walks or bike rides along the canal. The cottage is located in Stourton, halfway between the town of Stourbridge and the pretty village of Kinver.
Staffordshire, Shropshire and Worcester all meet within 5 miles from here.
Getting around
A car is useful but not essential and many guests use the local buses to get around if they chose not to drive. Bikes can be safety locked away, and with the canal just 2 minutes down the bridle path it’s the perfect spot for cyclists. (We have had Olympians stay here).
The local Taxi service is excellent too.

Based in the centre of England The Barn is easily accessed from all major airports. Birmingham being the closest (around 45 minutes) and around 1 hr 30 minutes from both Manchester and Heathrow. Around 20 minutes from the M5 motorway. The town of Stourbridge has a train station (10 minutes) which links to all over the UK. Trains run every half hour from Stourbridge into the City of Birmingham. There is a bus stop just 5 minutes away with buses regurlarly into Stourbridge every day of the week.
