Open plan Barn conversion with a double bed on the gallery and a bathroom. Downstairs there is a further bedroom on ground level with 2 single beds and a bathroom. There is room in the bedroom for another campbed as families come in all sizes so it is an option which is often taken up. There is a fully fitted kitchen with microwave and fridge and the lounge area has a big stone fireplace with a log burning stove. There is a colour TV and a DVD player and a free to use jukebox with records from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Full central heating and ample parking. All linen supplied. About the neighbourhood
Stourbridge is know world wide for its glass industry. The Crystal works have changed with the passing of the years and has been replaced with exciting new designers and a Glass Bienale is now held in the town every 2 years attracting visitors from every corner. There are some great places to eat, good pubs and a choice of Indian, Italian and Chinese restaurants within a 5 minute car journey. Beautiful canal walks or bike rides along the canal. The cottage is located in Stourton, halfway between the town of Stourbridge and the pretty village of Kinver.
Staffordshire, Shropshire and Worcester all meet within 5 miles from here.
Getting around
A car is useful but not essential and many guests use the local buses to get around if they chose not to drive. Bikes can be safety locked away, and with the canal just 2 minutes down the bridle path it’s the perfect spot for cyclists. (We have had Olympians stay here).
The local Taxi service is excellent too.
Car not needed
