Dalwhinnie, Scottish Highlands, Scotland
2 Station cottage is a luxury little cottage set in rural Dalwhinnie. However Dalwhinnie is very near to the centre of Scotland so nowhere is very far.
The living room is a little bit of luxury, plenty comfortable seats for everyone, a very large flat screen tv, with sky and lots of DVDs to suit every age. There is also a dinning table and a high chair if needed also a fire guard if you decide to light the log burning stove. Decorated with a touch of the highlands and plenty highland coos.
The main bedroom has a king size bed, we have been assured that many guests have the best nights sleep in this bed ever. The family room sleeps 3, a double and a single bed, a tv with free view if anybody fancies more peace and quiet
Outside there is patio furniture to relax in, with a fire pit and BBQ. On a clear night if you are lucky you will can see...

Beautiful cottage situated in a lovely part of the world. Close by House of Bruar, Pitlochry, and Aviemore. Such an amazing find. Relax and chill out in the cosy, well furnished living room. The wood stove is a great addition and watching the deer only...More

I rarely review places 5 stars but 2 Station Cottage deserves it! Dalwhinnie is a small village but not too far to Aviemore so great for seeing the highlands of Scotland or a relaxing get away. The cottage itself has been decorated beautifully, I love...More

About the neighbourhood
2 station cottage sits near the railway line, in a very small lane with 4 houses. It is a privateroad so parking is no problem, also we have got a very large drive which can accommodate a couple of cars. The views of the surrounding Cairngorms is marvellous, to the front of the cottage along the street lies the magnificent Loch Ericht, at 10 miles long it is a beautiful sight.
Lots of nature walks direct from the house, easily sits off the A9 with acces to Aviemore, Fort William and Pitlochry.
House of Bruar is a 20min car journey, but well worth it.
Getting around
From Dalwhinnie you can take the A9 in any direction to explore Scotland, going North Aviemore is 20 mins away, further up the road is Inverness and then the top of Scotland is easily accessible from there. The road that runs through Dalwhinnie take you to Fort William and that is the gateway to explore the West Coast.
We have a very reliable train service, 2 hours South takes you to Edinburgh, where North is an hour to Inverness. The Cledonian Sleeper at 10pm is the last train but you can be in London by the morning
