Scar View is a character stone built holiday cottage that is well furnished to accommodate parties of up to five guests in two bedrooms. In an elevated position, it affords stunning views in three directions and sits in the pretty hamlet of Gawthrop, just three quarters of a mile from the heart of the cobbled village of Dent within the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The accommodation comprises of a library and boot room, leading into a living room with open fire, television and DVD player. There is a kitchen with electric cooker and microwave, with views of Netley beck below crashing over the rocks, and a separate dining room.

On the first floor there is the master bedroom with double bed and dual aspect providing plenty of light, a family bedroom with one double bed and one single bed, and a large shower-room with WC and wash basin.

A fantastic cottage with fabulous views. Very comfortable and quiet. Owners live next door and are very helpful. We would definitely book again should we return to the area.

A wonderful cottage, very homely and comfortable, immaculately clean and well equipped. It was nice to know that the friendly owners were next door if we needed them. There are stunning views of the dale from the bedrooms, comfy beds and lots of useful information...More

Located in The Western Dales area of The Yorkshire Dales National Park, Dentdale is a very special place to come & stay.
A tranquil haven, Dentdale is 10 miles long, with the high fells including Whernside, Aye Gill Pike & Great Combe dominating the skyline, with The Howgill fells & Lakeland peaks to the west.

2 real ale pubs in Dent , both serve food until 8.30pm, 2 tea shops/cafes & a village store that is also the post office on Tuesday & Thursday morning. The Heritage Centre, (museum of local history) artist's studio & village store.

Great walks & cycle routes, low & high level, sea views out in to Morecambe Bay from the top of Crag Hill. Lazy walks along the banks of the River Dee & The Dales Way.
