The cottage has a large and sunny double bedroom,a bathroom with thermostatic shower and bath, a comfortable dining/ living room with woodburning stove and a modern fitted kitchen.

Small but perfect little cottage, adequate parking, clean and good information pack. Visited the Lakes many times but didn't realise what a lovely area the southern tip is. Nearby Cartmel and Grange over Sands are lovely. Ate in the handy pub, The Royal Oak.

Thanks for your lovely review. I’m so glad you liked the cottage and also the Southern Lake District. We have appreciated how beautiful it is since we have had the cottage instead of rushing past into the central lakes. The weather is better here too!

The cottage is nice and compact and easy to find. We found it is well maintained to a good standard and in a great position for the southern and central Lakes. The owners are extremely helpful. There is excellent shopping in Grange over Sands which...More

About the neighbourhood
Lindale climbs agreeably up the lower slopes of Newton Fell from the mouth of the Winster Valley. With a pub at the top and the bottom of the hill and a shop half way up it has everything you need.

The summit of Hampsfell also looks down on the village and over the Cartmel valley to the village of that name with its famous Priory and racecourse, and towards the sea at Grange. All of these are easy walks from Lindale.
Grange overSands is a seaside resort of particular charm. The Tourist office has details of guided walks across the Bay from Arnside, itself another pleasant resort, or just stroll along the promenade and watch out for the craft exhibitions there or the Edwardian festival in the summer.

You are only five minutes drive from Lake Windermere and the National Trust's access...
