Please note the cottage is not available for booking on this site any longer as I do not agree with the fees that are charged to customers. The cottage is a well appointed built in traditional limestone, the driveway has room for 2 cars and the entrance is gated and shared with the owner the gates are closed at night due to the rural location, there are several steps up to the main entrance into the utility and kitchen diner, there is plenty of storage in the modern kitchen and utility cupboards, there is an integrated fridge freezer , dishwasher, modern electric oven, ceramic hob and extractor, there is a washer and dryer in the utility room, from there you enter the long cosy lounge area that has comfy leather recliner sofas in front of a multi fuel burning stove a... We stayed for a week in September. This must be the best equipped holiday let we have ever stayed in. Ann met us at the gate and we could'nt have been made more welcome. We were shown round and everything about the cottage was amazing....More

The cottage is located on a quiet single track road in a rural location surrounded by lovely pasture land, there are few neighbours, this offers a quiet tranquil base for R & R away from the maddening crowds you will find in the lake district and yet you are in easy commuting distance 10 miles from Kendal, 20 minutes from Carmel, 25 minutes to Ambleside and Windermere. On the doorstep you have Arnside which is an attraction in itself where you can visit the town of Grange over sands by a 6 min train journey over the viaduct. If you fancy a look at Milnthorpe this is 3.5 miles away and you will see Dallam Tower as you head this way.

Postcode for Sat nav = LA7 7LE, If you are travelling either North or South you are advised to complete the latter part of the motorway journey via the M6 exiting at junction 35, follow the 601M to a roundabout and take the 3 exit you are now travelling along the A6 heading towards Milnthorpe which is a distance of approximately 5.5 miles, at the next roundabout take the first exit and travel under a railway bridge follow this road until you reach Milnthorpe traffic lights PLEASE RING ME AT THIS POINT) take the left turning and follow this road (B5282) general direction to Arnside after about 2.6 miles you will see Carr Bank Garden centre on your left, turn here and follow the road for .4 of a mile you will have arrived.
