Plum Tree Cottage is conveniently placed in Lechlade, a small market town in the South Eastern part of the Cotswolds. Lechlade is situated on the river Thames and it is an attractive small town, with many old buildings built in the local Cotswolds stone. Lechlade is conveniently placed for visiting the Regency town of Cheltenham with its fine buildings and shops. It is also a short drive to Oxford, famous worldwide for its colleges. The ancient city of Bath, famous for its Roman Baths is about 1 and a half hours drive from Lechlade or by train from Swindon station. Lechlade is surrounded by gorgeous rolling countryside with pretty villages and pubs.
