This beautiful loughside apartment is located on the Quay, just a few minutes walk from the centre of Killyleagh. The apartment itself is bright and airy with open plan living kitchen and dining area. Patio doors open out onto the south facing terrace (with barbecue) allowing visitors to sit out and enjoy the views and the long summer nights here in Northern Ireland. Killyleagh itself is often referred to as one of the most beautiful villages in Ireland with its pastel painted houses, fairy tale castle, and traditional pubs...it also enjoys an award winning restaurant just a few steps away from the apartment.

It has a small well-stocked supermarket, green grocer, butcher, post office, gift shops and a lovely deli/coffee shop.

Due to the location and the layout of the apartment it is only suitable for older children

This is a lovely apartment in a beautiful location situated as it is,literally right on edge of Killyleagh harbour on Strangford Lough. It has everything you would need for a self-catering stay but if you prefer to eat out there are plenty of excellent cafes...More

Visiting friends for a long weekend this was a lovely spot for our stay- the apartment was right on the shoreline of the lough. Have not visited this area before and was amazed at the views which I enjoyed sitting wrapped up on the terrace,...More

About the neighbourhood
In addition to being on the shores of the lough, with its abundance of wildlife and beautiful walks , Killyleagh is only 30 minutes from Belfast, is an ideal spot to explore Northern Ireland, around 30 minutes from the Mourne Mountains and of course many of the 'Game of Thrones' filming locations
Also around the lough are various activities such as sailing and canoeing as well as the annual 'Skiffy' races. With in easy reach are world class golf courses. There are a number of National Trust properties nearby as well as beautiful safe clean beaches. For keen walkers there are numerous trails and the more adventurous can attempt to summit Sleive Donard. Of course there are the 'Game of Thrones' locations

Buses run from Belfast but to really enjoy the area a car is recommended

Ferry: Belfast: 50.0 km
Follow SatNav directions to Killyleagh. If coming from Belfast on entering the village take a left turn into Shore Street. Follow road down and through Hans Sloane Square. Take the next right turn and drive to the end - the Apartment block is on your right.

If coming from Downpatrick turn right just past the petrol station into Irish street, turn left at the bottom, follow road around into Hans Sloane Square and then follow directions above
