Best of the Best Beaches

United States

Golden sands, rugged coastlines, clear blue waters—this year’s winning beaches are traveller faves for everything from lazy beach days to underwater adventures.

The Travellers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best title celebrates the highest level of excellence in travel. It’s awarded to those who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period. Out of our 8 million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this milestone.

With its gentle waves, soft sand, and blue waters, you could easily spend all day relaxing at Ka'anapali Beach—but there's so much to do. Go swimming or snorkelling, then check out the local handicraft market. The beach is easy to get to and also has public restrooms and nearby shops. Pro tip: Get there in the early morning to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and stay to catch the stunning sunset.

My dad talked about Hawaii & and its people. After he passed, I wanted to visit some places he talked about. It was more than I ever expected. The people are lovely, and the island is spectacular.

On the shore, see Hawaiian monk seals lazily lounging, and as the sun sets, you might even spot sea turtles making their way onto the beach for the night.
