Happy hour visit. Drinks before dinner. Good drinks and the cleanest restroom I have seen in Crete! You can watch Premier Leage in this bar.

Nice friendly bar conveniently placed in the town centre. Great service and a wide range of cocktails available. Snacks are available.

It was a good sign - a small, relatively new kafenion located between a pharmacy and a nail parlour, selling a range of light snacks to the sounds of English and American pop music, a silent sports channel on the wall-mounted TV. We ordered a standard coffee and frappe and watched the early season traffic roll by. Over the years, I’ve ordered frappes everywhere from a late night / early morning cafe in Piraeus to some pretty remote Cycladic islands. Normally this is something the hospitable people of Greece get right every time. I’m not sure what went wrong here - possibly it was an off day or the woman serving had picked up a coffee pot from earlier in the day by mistake. The result was the worst drink I’ve tasted in three decades of enjoying the Greek islands.

Virage works from 7 am, so this is a good place to have nice breakfast. They propose 4 types of breakfast menu. My choice was English breakfast for 6,5 euro and I can recommend it
