I had some of the best times on my trip while staying here! Franck and his friends and family were so welcoming and kind! I felt like I was staying with good friends more than I felt like a tennant; fantastic hospitality!
The room was clean and tidy, food delicious, location and view, SPECTACULAR.
I honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better.
I 100% recommend staying at Villa Luna at any opportunity. I hope to go back someday soon!
Staying at Franck's was the perfect beginning to our Madagascar vacation. The house is located in a great private part of the beach with easy access to a market. It also has a cool island directly in front of it which we would swim to and snorkel around most days.
Franck and his small staff were lovely and always anticipated our needs. They cooked delicious dinners when requested with fresh fish from the sea and did our laundry when asked.
Franck has so many suggestions on where to go in Madadgascar and was happy to sit down and help us plan our next stops. He also helped us arrange a snorkelinf outing. Overall, we had a blast staying there and would definitely go back!
Franck made our stay perfect! Just be sure to organize a taxi or transportation before hand with Franck because he has a lot of good connections with drivers so you get a fair price. We were on a budget, and the market nearby was great for stocking up on all the ingredients we needed to make a decent meal. Franck had a full kitchen with all the amenities we needed to prepare our own meals. The meals prepared by Franck's staff were excellent as well although a little on the pricey side (still only around 7 USD per person). Just be sure to give them a day notice so everything can be prepared in time. We had one dinner prepared and it was totally worth it. They made a fish tartare for a starter and then a traditional main course of Zebu with cassava leaves over rice. Phenomenal! The staff also made our stay really comfortable. They were kind, friendly and attentive. The area itself is really private, and the guards made sure the house and our things were always safe. Just be sure to leave anything within the confines of the property because there are local people that comb the beaches, but only a handful. The beach and the island were pretty much our own while we were there. Franck also had snorkels and kayaks available to explore the island and water around. There's a small reef around that is teeming with life, and even giant sea turtles that you might chance a glimpse of. There's also plenty of other activities Franck can help you organize around the area. He has a number of contacts that he can link you up with for a fair price. He is also one of the few people we met in the island with a strong command of English which made our stay a lot easier. He was always happy to share his knowledge and help us plan our next adventure. Really a gem of a spot! Be sure to contact Franck before you book to make sure you get everything you're looking for! He's sure to deliver.
If you are looking for a quiet, authentic place to stay on Nosy Be, you have found it! We booked a room in this villa, and were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. We extended our stay by several days, and would happily have paid for the whole house to be able to stay on. With the kajaks and snorkling gear, the beach and coral reef just outside the door, and a quiet porch to spend lazy afternoons, we could have spent the week there without leaving the house and without being bored. Anasthasie and Franck were ever so helpful, the made arrangements for snorkling trips, and whatever else we wished to do, and showed us how to get around the market in the nearby village. They were easy to talk to. We had dinner some nights, and the food was delicious. Every morning we were served tea with lemongrass and ginger, and spent hours just watching the locals walk by on the beach. The staff were helpful and friendly, and made us feel welcome and safe. I would not hesitate to book this place again, and I am recommending it to all my friends. Our stay here was the icing on our trip to Madagascar!
