We stayed here for a week whilst here for our friends wedding.
We spoke with the owner to arrange a taxi from the airport for €20 (about a 10 minute journey) who was stood waiting for us in the arrivals hall with another couple to take us to the villa.
When we arrived at the villa, the lovely owner greeted us and showed us to our room, 14, on the ground floor. It was quite small but very clean with a double bed, bathroom with shower, private balcony, kettle, fridge/freezer and hairdryer.
We spent our first afternoon by the pool, there was about 10 sun beds and nobody at the pool so it was complete bliss!
We decided to hire a quad bike for 5 days and the owner called for one and it arrived 10 minutes later. It cost us €180 for the larger quad which was perfect with a box boot so we could take everything around with us and get some shopping in from Lidl (10 min away.)
The villa really isn’t near very much as it’s on a hill. None of the roads have pathways so we didn’t particular feel we could walk anywhere so hiring a quad for us was perfect. We travelled across the whole island and got to see all of Santorini.
The air conditioning was superb, my only criticism of it was the pipe attached to it on the balcony dripped water constantly and a couple of times I slipped on the balcony as it was always covered in water. We did put a bottle under it but it filled up very very quickly.
The cleaners came everyday to change towels and always left the room feeling fresh.
One day during our stay the water had been turned off and it would be another hour until it came back on. I’m not sure what was the route of the issue but the owner said there was a problem. I think it would be been good if we had of had this communicated to us as it meant we was late out for our meal with friends/family (I appreciated it may not of also been planned.)
The was also a bit of noise whilst this was being fixed which was like drilling above us for well over an hour so we couldn’t even relax.
We generally slept very well as the curtains are blackout thankfully. However we were often woke up with the sound of what appeared to be hammering and others quite early.
The pool area was always empty and clean and there was no scramble for sun beds even at midday :)
We were around 10 minutes from the airport, Thira and Kamari, 15 minutes from Perissa and 30 minutes from Oia - 10/15 minutes in a taxi is around €15-€20.
If there was one thing specifically to improve I would say it would be helpful to have a drinking water fountain for everyone to use. With it not being near any shops and no pathways, it was a shame there was no water for when we arrived at all.
Nothing was ever too much trouble to the owner and she was always very informative, helpful and polite.
I think if we were to return we would stay elsewhere to get another vibe of Santorini but I would however recommend this villa to others looking for this area :)
