“Decided to skip the tour and just buy chocolates instead. They were good. I'd give extra 1/2 star if I could.”

We couldn't bring ourselves to pay the price of admission to some of the other chocolate/coffee/sugar cane tours, so we came here. But once we got here, we just decided to buy some chocolate and eat it rather than doing the tour. The whole building was kind of strange. It was very large and seemed like it was built for some other purpose. The only other thing we saw open in the building was a live bat attraction/exhibit. Anyway, the chocolate was good and if you want to kill a little time and have a small taste of chocolate, it's not a bad place to go.

The chocolate tour at Cafe Cabure is fascinating! Bob knows all about the chocolate making process from the cocoa bean to the delicious finished project. I recommend going on this tour if you are curious how chocolate is made and what it takes to get the best tasting chocolate. Bob is patient and answers all your questions during the class. There is a restaurant and chocolate to buy in the store.

Had a pretty booked chocolate tour here. Wasn’t sure what to expect when we turned up to what looked like an empty place and to wait ten mins with no sign much was going on. Then Bob came over and we moved on (us alone) to start the tutorial (I saw that as it wasn’t much if a tour as it were). Well after the technical stuff - first five mins or so - it was fascinating. Learnt so much about chocolate making that bizarrely we just didn’t have the first clue about. The kids got stuck in asking about white chocolate (best to avoid that now we know what’s in it or better said wasn’t isnt!) and all sorts of other stuff and then tasted and compared and ended up making some chocolate marshmallows. Hats off to Bob he gave a really good teach in on an ancient craft and we emerged couple of hours later full of insight and with a bag of chocolates that of course we had to buy from the shop at the end of the tour (making clear absolutely no selling here - this was us alone). Very enjoyable. Thanks.

We stayed in a nearby house, and this was our favorite place for dinner by far. Lovely balcony outside, just a charming and wonderful host, and all of the food we tried was a hit with adults and kids. We had a group of 15 that they easily accomodated. Highly highly recommend.

We were early for the bat jungel tour. The covered terrace was a good place for a cup of Monte Verde coffee and cake while watching birds until it was time for our tour.
