Very unfriendly restaurant manager who dares to call her guests liars. Holiday houses poorly cleaned fx painting tape from the previous renovation still present in several places. Reception not very helpful, if you want to make a complaint you will be asked to come back later.

Room tip: go some where else

If there were no people who had in mind the repercussions of the past, it would have been a great stay. I admit that we were treated by the receptionist with many offenses, and he did not know English at all. We were taken and treated like bandits. Identity cards issued by a state in the European Union have not been recognized. We did not recognize our Credit Card and wanted to pay for cash, gave us a room without the facilities described on the booking, photocopied the ID and called the police station where he sent the data from them. He had offensive and offensive behavior to us. He wanted to take us out of the hotel and sleep in the parking lot, plus many others that can be tested with the reception cameras. Sinful to the prestige of this hotel. In the same hotel chain I stayed in the Netherlands and the employees there were exemplary and very hospitable. The rest of the room was ok and the good breakfast. Sorry for my English

There is very little to recommend this hotel. The room was comfortable enough although without air conditioning would have been unbearable in hot weather (it was not ideal even in September). There is no fitness room and the pool doesn’t open until 10.00 am. But the worst aspect of this place is the unbelievable rudeness of some (not all) the staff. One particular waitress could not have been more unhelpful and downright rude. On arriving with 5 colleagues at 8.30 for an evening meal we were told that it was completely impossible for us all to sit together because we hadn’t reserved in advance. This despite the fact that the restaurant was and remained half empty for the rest of the evening. When we tried to reason with this waitress she just shrugged and walked off. After asking to see the manager we were grudgingly allowed to put two tables together and had a fairly average meal served by a very friendly waitress. But we left with a very bad feeling about the whole place. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Positive
- friendly staff, big range of activities available for kids
- big screen for watching World Cup soccer, jumping castle nice!
- house a short walk to main building
- horse riding was great, petting zoo opening hours not listed (same as horse-back riding, would have been nice to know that you can’t access the petting zoo when horseback riding is not open)
- house good size overall
- good amount of pots, pans, etc.
- good starting point for day trips in the area

Negative:
- indoor playground OK, but pretty small, very stuffy air and in the evening, the cigarette smoke from the pub “The Time” drifts over and contaminates the air there, very unhealthy for kids and adults!
- very disappointed massages not offered for pregnant women (only "cosmetic" massage therapists, no physical therapists that have the qualification, this is a four-star place!), there were SO many pregnant women who probably would have loved a massage, including us! Please include a note on the website about this, we were very much looking forward to a massage!
- Subpar initial cleanliness in vacation home, cobwebs, ants (only one ant trap of unknown age near terrace), dirt on ground floor, dusty night stands, markings on wall, especially the mold in one of the showers was gross!
- We gave feedback for the first time about cleanliness on the second day after arrival. An anti-ant-powder was strewn right away by a groundkeeper and one new ant trap set. We were disappointed though that we were not asked if we had a problem with the anti-ant powder being strewn with small children or pets around (the housekeeper saw we had small children and a dog with us!) i.e. making sure it’s safe for the kids and dog. It did help with the ants though.
- After our first feedback regarding cleanliness, somehow there was miscommunication and our house was cleaned WITHOUT consulting us on date/time when we were out, i.e. our house was entered without asking us first, a note was left that "cobwebs and mold were removed", they were in fact, not, we took pictures (same black mold spots in shower) and gave feedback AGAIN at the reception. We were asked to send pictures of the not-removed mold etc. to the reception, which we did and explicitly stated we wanted to be informed about when the touch-up cleaning would happen. The next day WE had to call reception though and ask when touch-up cleaning would happen, instead of them contacting us (around 10:30). Apparently our e-mail had not even been read yet. Then a manager and the head of housekeeping came by personally and we were able to resolve the issue with appropriate cleaning done. We thought it was a given that we would be contacted about when to come by and clean again, considering we had three small children who take naps, etc.
- If a vacation house as a drip coffee machine, we expected there to be at least one or two coffee filters for an initial brew, it’d be nice if there were a note on the website where the amenities are mentioned to mention the TYPE of coffee machine (i.e. filters needed, pads or capsules!). Luckily I called beforehand to ask about the type of coffee machine but was, again, disappointed that there was not one filter to just start out with.
- There was a child-sized bed in one of the bedrooms. The lady at reception said this was just a lucky coincidence and there is not always a kid bed in each house. Would have been nice to know beforehand that that’s available for one of the kids. Pretty easy to have a list of which vacation houses have one and then make a note of it for your guests in their booking (not just Type A house), especially if they’re bringing kids.
- Why do we need separate keys to enter the rooms? If you leave your key inside your room by accident or a kid closes the door by accident, etc. you’re locked out. Also the key for the downstairs bedroom fit a door that opens to the whole bottom level (kitchen, living room, bedroom), why would you separate it like that?
- Door to separate downstairs area from upstairs didn’t close properly, i.e. dragged/got stuck on the floor.
- The toilet seats didn’t completely cover the rim of the bowl, kind of nasty sitting on it with your thigh touching one side of the bowl.
- Terrace door was full of pet/claw marks.

We arrived at 12 and were told like everyone else to check in at 2 pm. Even guest arriving at 1:52 pm were told that. Line was building up quickly. Average check in time 5 minutes because of all the information which could have been told prior. Two check in clerks makes 24 check ins in one hour... imagine 80 check ins ... line was still up at 5:30!!!

Restaurant seating was appointed everyday at a certain time after I insisted to get seating for two days she agreed.
Food was average nothing special. Was made for big crowed. Argentinian restaurant over cooked meat... over well done, Italian had most tender meat on both nights.

Breakfast was below average the waitress awful... just don’t ask me anything attitude. She put the worst coffee on table I ever had. Specialties were out of question. Scramble eggs did not see a frying pan... were cooked in steamer .. yak

Best baby pool ever. That was a highlight. Everything else were extra ie bowling, kids club, horse back riding, trampoline

Room was over average in size. TV way too small I mean way too. Like 15 inch.

The resort is in the middle of nowhere. Malchow 20km away. Enough parking on site and a great playground ... overall it was not worth the money
