A friend and I visited this wine estate in July 2018. It was an experience we will never forget! On a quiet Monday, we were welcomed by a gem of a man, Emmanuel, who treated us to a wine tasting of note. His love for his job was so abundantly clear - something to behold. He gave us the story of the farm, presented each wine (superb wines!) to us with passion and love. He then took us on a tour of the estate and the cellar. We didn't stay at the farm but did have a look at the accommodation which was stunning. The estate is over 300 years old and the history is there to be shared.

We stayed in Montpellier during our recent visit in Tulbagh and so lucky to experience Christmas in July.
The venue was amazing, the breakfast serve in the mansion was scrumptious and Christmas in July festival that took place all over Tulbagh was fantastic
We are family of 8 and we booked Annex house. It was built in 1714 and impressively very spacious. it has 4 bedrooms and all the rooms are en-suite with bathtub. It has big living room and open kitchen. There is also a braai outside for you to use.
Montpellier is very picturesque venue with a chapel up on the little hill for wedding. They have lots of trees and nice garden all around the farm.

Thank you for the wonderful experience. We will come back again for sure

Note: the wifi is not available in Annex house. if you cant live without wifi, stay in the mansion.

Warm hospitality!
Thanks Marieke and team...
Wine at the fireplace & Great breakfast in the old Manor house.
What a privilege!
Friendly service - special thanks to Emmanuel
Enjoyed walking through the forest, farm animals, friendly dogs
Interesting things to see.
Loved what you did with the old stables. Something different -
we were impressed, also nice and clean including the linen.

Room tip: enquire when you book - different things for different people iso leaving bad comments if its not your style

Friendly and cosy tasting by the fire with a lavish cheese platter. Good variety of wines - interesting Chenin and powerful Shiraz. Friendly service but a more knowlegeable local would be more appropriate. Missing the port...

The perfect way to conclude a rainy day with friends - next to the fire with the Spyseniersberg wine. Hostess Jenny was very friendly. Also a beautiful wedding venue with different options for every bride and groom
